The live group classes have opened up a whole new way for me to relate to my own body. The classes have helped me to work through things that I have not been able to work through in traditional therapy. I highly recommend Dana’s classes. It is amazing to see how intuitive and perceptive she is, even via Zoom (she is able to notice the slightest movements and my emotional state).

I love that every session is unique and responds to our wishes and needs. Dana is also great at giving advice and little tweaks to postures and movements, which enables enhanced energy flow. The movements are conscious and low impact but consistently surprise me with the sensations they can bring. Through these classes I have been able to connect with my body in ways I was never aware were possible, I have experienced a relaxed-yet-energized nervous system (a totally new sensation and an amazing one) and I have released so much tension. It’s a safe space where you can just enjoy being. It’s been lovely to just take some time out of the day for yourself and try out different movement techniques. I love the fact that there’s no pressure one way or another with the moves, if you find that one move is really doing it for you that day you can choose to stay in that position, it’s your time.

Dana always makes sure we feel safe, and gives us space and options to adapt to what we need at that moment. I can see a significant shift in my mindset as well as in physical areas. I’m now more able to breathe more deeply (not as easy as it sounds) and work through some emotions that come up throughout the week! I know that if I’m struggling with something in particular, I’m definitely not alone, and that I am welcome to bring whichever topic or feeling to the group and we can work on it together in an upcoming session.

The best thing about Core Energetics for me is the mind body connection. Just the understanding that not everything is in your head, and that even if you can’t feel it in your body, it is there. Doing things with the body can relieve the craziness going on in your head. It is kind of like a cheat sheet to get out of your head. I have spent my whole life focused on the way I was ‘supposed’ to be instead of embracing who I truly am. Now, I’m more focused on doing things that make me feel good, but in a kind and positive way.
I now love to move my body. Before FlowEating, that wasn’t the case. I also now know how to regulate my body and set boundaries in my life. It’s such a freeing experience. I now feel empowered to ask for my boundaries to be met. I understand what I need and want, and I’m no longer afraid to ask for it.

I was shocked by how much there was in this course – this was so much more than I expected. It was immersive – it’s not just reading or watching all of this stuff. It was really individual and about my own experience. I got way more out of it than I invested – It was a really good investment.
I feel more neutral towards foods I used to label as ‘good’ or ‘bad.’ I now feel more conscious and confident around my food choices. What a relief!
